THE CD IS FINALLY RELEASED!!!

Hoop of Flame is out officially "out" on the Musea Label today. We are all very excited, relieved, ecstatic, bored, and proud that this project is finally completed and we can share it our fans at last (all 2 of you!).

6 years in the making (technically). Although, we started the recording process 3 or 4 years ago. What a trek. The next one in 2 years, max.

Well, it seems most of Europe takes August off, and that seems to be the case in France for sure. The Hoop of Flame release was supposed to be out in August, but it looks like it will be September or later at this point. Why should anything about this CD go quickly?!?

It will be worth the wait, though.

We have been contacting labels. After a false start with a Swiss label that seems to be closing its doors just as we were getting close to a commitment, we were offered a spot on the Musea label from France. Musea is one of the premier progressive rock labels and we are thrilled that we will be working with them for the Hoop of Flame release.

We wrapped up on the new CD this Spring. We had decided to go with Thomas Carr for the Mastering. We had a couple of good sessions at the Annex in Menlo Park.

We had some discussions on the title. It looks like we are going to go with "Hoop of Flame", which is the name of the one of the 2 suites on the CD. We considered "Trial of God" (the other suite) as well as "Smashed and Defamed" (a line from Trial of God).

Next step: finding a label.
